Renowned investor Michael Saylor to speak at Europe’s largest Bitcoin conference: BTC Prague

There will be more than 100 companies, 80 speakers from around the world, including one of the most famous figures in the Bitcoin universe, Michael J. Saylor. But also three days filled with conferences and workshops, and 10,000 visitors. The first edition of the BTC Prague conference, the most important event in Europe dedicated exclusively to the most popular cryptocurrency, bitcoin, will take place in two months in Prague.

Michael J. Saylor is one of the most influential Bitcoin maximalists and key figures in the crypto world. American Michael J. Saylor founded the company MicroStrategy, which regularly buys bitcoins as part of its corporate assets and owns 132,000 bitcoins, making it the richest cryptocurrency company in the world. He will speak for the first time in Europe at the BTC Prague Conference, the Bitcoin event of the year, which will take place from June 8 to 10, 2023 at the PVA Letňany exhibition center in Prague.

” Michael has an excellent reputation and strong, consistent opinions that carry significant weight in the Bitcoin community, and he is also someone who opened the doors to mainstream business adoption of Bitcoin. That’s why I’m delighted that we were able to persuade him to speak for the first time in Europe at our event.“, says Martin Kuchař, one of the organizers of BTC Prague, which will have no competitors with an estimated number of 10,000 visitors whether in the Czech Republic, but also in Europe.

In addition to Saylor, several other high-profile figures in the Bitcoin universe, including Blockstream CEO Dr. Adam Back, SatoshiLabs co-founder Marek Palatin, and Robert Breedlove, author of the popular podcast “ What is money?“, accepted the invitation to the largest purely Bitcoin conference in Europe. The Czech-English program will offer many stimulating ideas for entrepreneurs, researchers, influencers, philosophers, developers and lovers of freedom during the three days of the event.

Alongside the on-stage program, the exhibition will run, showcasing more than 100 companies specializing in building Bitcoin infrastructure, including hardware and software wallets, mining tools, exchanges or even beer dispensers connected to the Lightning network. The ambition of the organizers of BTC Prague is not only to attract experienced Bitcoin fans, but also those who know Bitcoin but are not as active – and then guide them through the process.

” In the current complex economic situation, when we are all feeling the effects of inflation, uncertainties surrounding bank stability or high interest rates, Bitcoin is proving to be something of a lifeline. Today, it is certainly riskier not to have one than to have one. Martin is one of the important figures in the national crypto scene – together with his brother Matyas, they are responsible for organizing four successful annual Bitcoin events called ChainCamp, which bring more than 2000 enthusiasts to Ostrava every year. The move to Prague and the significant expansion of the scale of the event as a whole is the logical crowning achievement of the two brothers’ journey, or rather the growing popularity of Bitcoin.

The fact that the biggest and most important Bitcoin conference will take place in Prague is symbolic, as Martin Kuchař points out the Czech Republic is the “Bitcoin Valley” of the crypto world and Prague could be boldly called the world capital. bitcoin, as a number of groundbreaking projects that played a key role in the adoption of the world’s largest cryptocurrency were created in the Czech Republic. We can cite, for example, the Trezor hardware wallet from SatoshiLabs, the first mining pool from Braiins or the Bitcoin ATMs from General Bytes. ” I consider BTC Prague as another Czech project that confirms the importance of the Czech Republic for Bitcoin“, adds Martin Kuchar.
