According a tweet from Polygon Studios on August 7, the Coca-cola company “just launched unique, generative and shareable collectibles on Polygon (MATIC) to celebrate the International Day of Friendship“. This collection of NFTs has been made by avatar company Tafi. It is a way for the brand to thank its fans. The idea is to please everyone who has participated in Coca-Cola’s adventure in the metaverse over the past year.
The new Coca-Cola collectible is quite atypical. It is an object in the form of a Coca-Cola bottle with large colored bubbles inside. The brand had announced that the collectible was based on the “connection and unity themes“. She had stated that this NFT would be “deposited into the digital wallets of current Coca-Cola collectible coin holders on July 30“.
Holders have the option to share a second International Friendship Day NFT with a friend. This will allow togrow the community of Coca-Cola fans on the Polygon blockchain (MATIC). The brand clarified that as the community grows, NFT holders will have rewards.
They will be able to enjoy perks like access to experiences powered by Coke Studio. They will have the opportunity to participate in game events. They will also be able to have “early access to limited-edition product launches from Coca-Cola Creations“.
