While it was announced for 2022, the launch of the Doge-1 satellite was postponed until January 2024. But good news, the crypto project has just taken a crucial step by obtaining authorization from the NTIA, paving the way for the final license from the FCC. Concretely, this means that mores nothing legally prevents the sending of the first satellite financed entirely by crypto!
The crazy project is led by the startup Geometric Energy Corporation, which has confirmed that it has raised sufficient funding in Dogecoins to cover the launch costs.
