After Solana and Ethereum, Magic Eden adopts Polygon

Magic Eden has always expressed its multi-channel vision and the gamification of its platform in its expansion strategy. After launching its market on the Ethereum blockchain in August, the platform has just announced the addition of Polygon as a third chain.

Magic Eden: Bringing more brands and users into the NFT space

Launched in September 2017, Magic Eden has succeeded in becoming the most popular NFT market on the Solana blockchain today. In August, the platform becomes multi-chain by launching its market on the Ethereum blockchain. Wanting to continue in this momentum, Magic Eden has just taken a new step in its development with the adoption of Polygon as its third channel.

Magic Eden will now be able to handle Polygon-based NFTs.

The integration of Polygon opens up great prospects for Magic Eden and its users. This gives them access to a top-notch network, web3 games the most cutting-edge, as well as the NFTs of emerging names in the ecosystem. On Twitter, Magic Eden exults: “We look forward to partnering with game developers, creators and brands […] who join the Web3 ».

Capitalize on the emerging niche of blockchain games at Polygon

Polygon enables cheaper transactions for Ethereum-based applications. But above all, this sidechain of the Ethereum blockchain is the engine of the biggest NFT game projects and publishers like Ubisoft, The Sandbox, Atari, Skyweaver or Midnight Society. This integration will initially provide native MATIC tools for creators. But overall, Magic Eden plans to use the Polygon integration as a pass to the NFT gaming ecosystem.

Zhuoxun Yin, co-founder and COO of Magic Eden explains: “Given Polygon’s popularity among game developers as a low-cost EVM-enabled channel, the integration of Polygon will continue to cement Magic Eden as the go-to web3 gaming platform.” […] We can invest, launch collections, fuel in-game activity and drive user acquisition for developers building on Polygon with Magic Eden.”

This new decision will probably allow Magic Eden to get back on its feet and reach new users. This, knowing that the platform has lost more than 30% of its sales volume in the last month.
