What has the AI Act changed since August 2?
The European regulation on artificial intelligence, in force since August 1, 2024, became applicable on August 2, 2026, with exceptions, according to the European Commission page. It works like technical control: the more risks an AI system presents, the heavier the obligations. Transparency rules also come into force in August 2026: a user must know when he is interacting with an AI.
