The crypto industry has just experienced a strategic theater. Franklin Templeton, asset management giant, deploys Son Etf Bitcoin & Ether (EZPZ), a daring maneuver that redefines access to cryptos. Far from being a simple financial product, this ETF embodies a subtle rupture between the era of individual speculation and that of structured institutional adoption.

An unexpected bridge between tradition and Bitcoin
On the financial chessboard, Franklin Templeton plays a centerpiece. The EZPZ, side on CBOE BZX, follows the index CF Institutional Digital Asset Index – a basket composed of 87 % bitcoin and 13 % Ether. This distribution, moving according to market capitalization, reflects a millennial logic: to concentrate the essential, to diversify the accessory.
Unlike the direct purchase of bitcoin and other cryptos, often perceived as a troubled water dive, this ETF offers a secure raft.
No need for complex custodia or agonizing private keys. The investor accesses Bitcoin by a regulated vehicle, as simple as a click. “An exhibition without the hassles,” sums up Franklin Templeton on X. A sober formula for a silent revolution.
Hashdex, pioneer with his ETF Nasdaq (NCIQ), paved the way on February 14. But Franklin Templeton relies on expansion: EZPZ will gradually integrate other digital assets, subject to regulatory approvals. An evolving portfolio promise, a mirror of a crypto market in perpetual change.
Regulation and horizons: American thaw
December 19, 2023 will remain a key date. The sec simultaneously validates the EZPZ and the NCIQ, signaling an unprecedented regulatory relaxation.
A new wind has been blowing since the inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20, 2024. His commitment to make the United States the “world capital of cryptos” is materialized: asset managers deposit ETF Altcoins ( Solana, XRP, Litecoin…).
Nyse Arca, in October 2023, had already struck the regulators for the Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund. This fund, sleeping since 2018, aims to bring together Bitcoin, Ether, Solana and XRP under one stock roof. Bloomberg Intelligence anticipates “high chances of approval” for these products – a green light that catalyzes optimism.
In the shadows, Bitcoin prepares his moult. Bollinger bands, volatility indicator, suggest consolidation at the end of the cycle. History shows that after such phases, the BTC triggers vertical rallies. An ideal context for the arrival of EZPZ: institutional investors could ride the upward wave, armed with tools formerly reserved for initiates.
