Why did the activity of Crypto developers drop?
In March 2023, the Crypto ecosystem had around 12,380 active developers per week. According to the data from the Terminal Artemis, this figure is currently 7,600. This represents a decrease of 38.6 %, illustrating a silent exodus of the developers of the crypto.
According to Crypto analysts, the drop in activity results from the emergence of projects focused on narratives rather than on concrete innovations. They particularly point the finger at the same which has become one of the most profitable sectors on the web3.
They believe that these new digital assets divert the attention of the developers of blockchain projects with a real and lasting impact. But not only! This trend also shows that speculation takes precedence over technical innovation.
Calls for a return to innovation and narratives centered on developers
