Around 92 billion SHIB joined the platforms in one day, while the Shiba Inu price remained under pressure. The number seems considerable, but it represents barely 0.11% of the reserves held on exchanges: the real problem comes mainly from the lack of buyers.

In brief
- Around 92 billion SHIB joined the platforms in 24 hours, or only 0.11% of their reserves.
- The Shiba Inu price remains under pressure, mainly due to the lack of buyers.
- The SHIB is struggling to get back above $0.0000052, while the support at $0.0000048 remains to be monitored.
- The repetition of deposits on the platforms could increase selling pressure if demand does not recover.
The 92 billion SHIB only weighs 0.11% of reserves
Shiba Inu net inflows to platforms reached 92.07 billion tokens in 24 hours, according to CryptoQuant. Deposits totaled 324.28 billion SHIB, compared to 232.21 billion withdrawn during the same period.
A positive net flow means that more tokens entered the exchanges than left them. These SHIBs can be sold quickly, theoretically increasing the available pressure on the market. However, a deposit does not constitute proof that a sale has actually taken place.
THE data allow us to put the size of the movement into perspective:
- The platforms held 86.25 trillion SHIB;
- The net flow represented approximately 0.11% of these reserves;
- The 92 billion tokens were worth nearly $450,000;
- The total value of the reserves approached $418.32 million;
- The number of SHIBs on exchanges increased by only 0.11%.
The economic amount therefore remains modest despite an impressive number of tokens. This difference is explained by the extremely low unit price of SHIB, which fluctuated around $0.00000489. A few hundred thousand dollars are enough to produce a transfer counted in tens of billions of tokens.
The increase in reserves cannot, on its own, explain a significant drop in price. It only indicates that the immediately negotiable offer has increased slightly. The actual effect depends on the volume of sales orders and especially on the ability of buyers to absorb them.
Buyer Weakness Stalls SHIB Below $0.0000052
The dollar value of reserves held by platforms fell by 2.9%, even as their quantity of SHIB increased. This divergence shows that the depreciation of the token was greater than the increase in the number of units available.
The main problem therefore lies on the demand side. Shiba Inu attempted to rebound towards $0.000006 in early October, before being rejected. He then failed to keep his gains above $0.0000052.
The price is now moving under several important moving averages. The $0.000005 level constitutes an initial psychological resistance, followed by a more difficult zone between $0.0000054 and $0.0000056.
The Relative Strength Index also remains below 50. This indicator does not necessarily signal an imminent fall, but it confirms that buyers do not yet have sufficient momentum to regain control.
On the downside, the first support is around $0.0000048. A lasting break of this threshold could pave the way towards $0.0000044. Conversely, a return above $0.0000052, accompanied by an increase in volumes, would reduce the importance of entries observed on the platforms.
A series of deposits would count for more than a single day
The 92 billion SHIB is not an isolated event. By October 23, net inflows had already reached around 77.3 billion tokens. The repetition of the phenomenon deserves more attention than the single value recorded over 24 hours.
Several consecutive days of deposits would gradually increase the reserves available for sale. If the price continues to lose its supports at the same time, this combination would indicate that supply is growing faster than demand.
However, flows can change quickly. A few days earlier, nearly 95.68 billion SHIB had left the platforms in a single session. Presented in isolation, this movement could be interpreted as an accumulation. However, it was not enough to cause a lasting reversal in the price.
These variations show the limitations of daily data. Platforms sometimes move their funds between hot and cold wallets, while users may transfer tokens without the immediate intention of selling them. Data providers also do not list exactly the same addresses.
The signal would become stronger if three elements move together: a sustained rise in reserves, several days of net inflows, and a breakdown of support at $0.0000048. For the moment, the 92 billion SHIBs illustrate additional selling pressure, but their weight remains too low to alone explain the decline.
