Ripple (XRP): The new members of the second wave of “creator fund”

Creators wanting to join Ripple’s creator fund have until December 30 to apply. But let’s first recall the latest projects selected for the second wave of the creator’s fund. We find 9LEVEL9, an immersive experience giving users a front-row view of concerts and other events in the metaverse. Its founder, Chris J Snook, said they will present various pop culture concert experiences for a global audience with (virtual and real) front row seats. All of this will be done with extensive parallel immersions in the metaverse and a community on the XRP Ledger.

Among the selected projects, we also find Anifie, which is an NFT marketplace based in Japan. It helps content creators and artists launch NFTs to engage fans. But it also makes it possible to offer a digital experience to holders of NFT. We can also mention Capital Block, a leading Web3 platform for sports clubs. Cross-Metaverse Avatars and NFT Masteront were also part of the second wave of Ripple’s creator fund.

Unlocking the future of tokenization

Ripple launched the “creator fund” in September 2021 as part of an ecosystem development strategy. This involves investing in new projects related to the crypto sector. The plan aimed to provide creators with technical and financial support. Two resources needed to build web3 projects such as NFTs and other tokens on the XRP Ledger. The latter is a decentralized blockchain development platform from Ripple, allowing developers to build highly scalable applications at low cost.

Markus Infanger, Vice President at RippleX, said Web3 technology continues to transform the economy of creators by empowering them. Having seen a real utility of NFTs with the arts community, it’s only fitting that the entertainment industry cultivates relationships directly with their audiences, he added. The enormous growth of this industry also makes it possible to offer new content distribution channels.

Ripple’s “creator fund” is structured in a wave. Each wave focuses on a different theme. The second wave focused on music-related initiatives. However, all NFT projects can be submitted regardless of the use case. This is also the case with the third wave, which seeks creators who build digital and physical NFTs.
