Pi Network unveils 4 updates ahead of its first Ecosystem Summit
Summarize this article with:

Pi Network is rolling out four updates to make it easier to build, launch and track apps ahead of its first Ecosystem Summit. These tools reduce several technical hurdles, but a single new feature directly creates measurable demand for the PI token.

The scene illustrates the announcement of four major updates to Pi Network ahead of its first Ecosystem Summit. On the left, an enthusiastic executive presents the new products in front of a gigantic illuminated Pi piece. In the center, four numbered panels symbolize the announced developments: improvement of applications, development of the blockchain, strengthening of the community and expansion of partnerships. In the background, a connected globe evokes the international ambitions of the project. In the foreground, an enthusiastic crowd brandishes smartphones displaying the Pi symbol. The whole thing reflects the excitement surrounding these announcements and the expectations raised by this major meeting for the Pi Network ecosystem.

In brief

  • Pi Network is rolling out four updates to make app development and launch easier.
  • SoloHost integrates artificial intelligence to simplify software deployment.
  • PiVerify allows businesses to verify identities and pay for this service in PI tokens.
  • Other tools improve the ecosystem without guaranteeing an increase in demand for IP.
  • The Pi Ecosystem Summit, scheduled for November 17 to 19, 2026, will have to demonstrate the real usefulness of these new features.

Four tools now link creation to distribution

The first change concerns the Developer Portal. Its new interface brings together domains, API keys, application portfolios and privacy information in a single section. Developers also have easier access to Pi Sign-In, PiNet, the Ad Network, and the App Referral System.

This centralization aims to shorten the journey between configuring a project and publishing it. Pi Network is no longer just looking to attract developers. The network is trying to build a complete chain that covers user identification, payments, distribution and, eventually, monetization.

THE four updates intervene at different stages of this journey:

  • The Developer Portal simplifies application configuration and management;
  • Pi BlockExplorer displays the price history of Launchpad Testnet tokens;
  • SoloHost allows AI assistants to prepare the files needed for deployment;
  • PiVerify adds duplicate identity detection and several live presence checks.

The evolution of SoloHost is most directly linked to artificial intelligence. From an application’s public Docker image, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex can now generate and verify docker-compose.yml and config_options.yml files. The developer can then use them to offer their software on Pi Desktop.

This automation don’t create an app from scratch. Above all, it avoids a technical configuration phase which could slow down the publication of already functional software. Projects distributed by SoloHost can theoretically reach a network of over 420,000 nodes.

PiVerify is the only new thing that immediately creates demand for Pi Network

The four announcements do not have the same economic effect. Portal enhancement, token tracking, and deployment support reduce development costs. However, they do not guarantee the arrival of new users or an increase in IP transactions.

PiVerify has a more direct link to the network economy. This service allows external companies to use the identification technology developed for Pi Network’s KYC. Customers can verify that a face is not already associated with several accounts and request new real presence tests after an initial validation.

These functions respond to a growing difficulty: distinguishing a real person from an automated account or a duplicate identity. Financial platforms, social networks, rewards services and some artificial intelligence applications could use this type of fraud control.

Above all, client companies must pay for the service in IP. PiVerify can therefore generate demand linked to professional use, unlike a simple speculative activity. The real scope of this outlet will, however, depend on the number of customers, the price of checks and the volume of checks carried out. Pi Network does not yet publish this data on-chain.

The service also asks sensitive questions about the protection of biometric data. The project will need to specify how faces are processed, where information is stored, how long it remains accessible and what guarantees are offered to companies subject to regulations such as the GDPR.

The summit will have to convert the tools into verifiable uses

Pi BlockExplorer’s new feature illustrates the distance that remains between infrastructure and real economic activity. The explorer now displays historical variations of tokens like SLICE against Test-Pi. This information is publicly accessible, without a Pi account or Pi Browser.

The tokens concerned nevertheless remain limited to the Testnet. Pi Network specifies that they will never migrate to the Mainnet. Price monitoring is therefore used to test the operation of the Launchpad and to familiarize users with liquidity pools, not to measure the value of tradable assets.

The first Pi Ecosystem Summit, organized online from November 17 to 19, 2026, will have to show whether these technical building blocks really attract creators. The program foresees demonstrations, application presentations, new features and the announcement of a hackathon.

Pi Network claims over 60 million engaged members, 18.1 million fully verified users, and over 300 Mainnet applications. These numbers provide developers with significant potential distribution, but they do not provide insight into daily active users, app revenue, or IP payment volume.

The success of the four updates will therefore not be measured by the number of tools announced. It will depend on the applications actually published, their regular use and the payments they generate. The summit will demonstrate that the Pi Network can convert its vast community into a true digital marketplace.
