Martin Shkreli Reportedly Identified Bitcoin (BTC) Inventor, Satoshi Nakamoto

Satoshi Nakamoto rose to the rank of finance celebrities for at least two reasons: he created Bitcoin, and his identity remains unknown until now. There have been several attempts to show it in its true light, but the results did not agree or convince. Last week, biotech entrepreneur Martin Shkreli asserted with certainty that Satoshi Nakamoto is none other than a former drug lord turned programmer.

Martin Shkreli believes that Paul Le Roux is the father of bitcoin

A new pavement in the bored waiting for the bull run?

Marin Shkreli may have revealed the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. Martin Shkreli claims that Paul Le Roux, a former programmer and ex-criminal cartel leader, is the real Satoshi Nakamoto. »

In one article shared on Substack on December 13, Martin Shkreli demonstrated that Satoshi Nakamoto is none other than Paul Le Roux. As a demonstration, he highlighted the wallet that allowed Hal Finney to receive Satoshi’s first bitcoin transfer. At the end of his short presentation, the “pharma bro” clarified that:

This transaction was made by Paul Le Roux to Hal Finney on January 12, 2009 #bitcoin. »

Paul Le Roux is the real Satoshi Nakamoto, CQFD!

Who is Paul Le Roux?

As mentioned above, Paul Le Roux is, according to Crypto Academy, a drug lord and an arms dealer. Arrested in 2012 and sentenced 8 years later to 25 years in prison, he received a reduced sentence in exchange for a contribution to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

This situation allowed him to turn to programming. Hence the speculation about its possible correlation with the bitcoin pioneer.

Impersonations and misidentifications of Satoshi Nakamoto

We are not at the first attempt to reveal the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. Forbes recently put forward a few celebrity names associated, willingly or without their consent, with this name:

  • Craig Wright: the Australian computer scientist who was just defeated by Hodlonaut in a Norwegian court on charges of identity theft;
  • Elon Musk: the resigning CEO of Twitter, however, denied any correlation with his identity;
  • Dorian Nakamoto: the Japanese-American physicist had the support of Newsweek magazine in 2014, but Satoshi Nakamoto himself denied it;
  • Nick Szabo: the cryptographer who developed Bit Gold, one of the ancestors of bitcoin. Musk himself seems sure of this relationship;
  • Hal Finney: the cryptographer to whom the father of Bitcoin sent the first bitcoins in 2009.
One of the first challengers of Martin Shkreli’s thesis

Martin Shkreli’s thesis does not lack flaws to the point of pushing other bitcoiners to challenge its veracity. Nevertheless, we also agree to quote that others have endorsed it.
