Ethereum subsidizes 18 crypto projects to strengthen its ecosystem

In line with its platform expansion policy, Ethereum had launched a crypto project grant program. Through this initiative, the company targeted projects related to its new ERC-4337 standard, which it intends to promote.

In short

  • Ethereum is launching a grant program to support 18 crypto projects focused on the new ERC-4337 standard.
  • The ERC-4337 standard enables smoother transactions and a better user experience in the Ethereum ecosystem.
  • Funded projects, like Zerodev Kernel and Blocto, offer unique features, ranging from biometric authentication to the creation of educational resources.

Ethereum promotes the ERC-4337 standard through 18 crypto projects

In July, the Ethereum platform introduced ERC-4337. This is a standard supporting the creation of a new generation of Ethereum wallets. These having a multi-functional capability allowing users to effectively surf the universe of cryptos with Ethereum.

From this point of view, the ERC-4337 standard changes the situation since it authorizes the execution of operations in a single transaction. This, by promoting a better user experience. Quite enticing advantages that justify Ethereum wanting to popularize the ERC-4337.

In any case, this is what contributes the recent grant program undertaken by the crypto firm. An initiative that resulted in the selection of 18 projects mainly focused on the implementation of ERC-4337.

The support provided to these crypto projects has a single objective. It’s about providing them with ways to play a meaningful role in the evolving Ethereum ecosystem. By subsidizing them in this way, Ethereum is also banking on the future.

This is evidenced by the multi-sectoral nature of the selected projects. Each of them has unique features. These range from creating educational resources to designing software operations based on the requirements of other applications. Or the integration of biometric authentication into existing wallets.

“Each team’s project uniquely aligns with the objectives of grant ERC-4337, and we believe the results of these efforts will ripple through the ecosystem, inspiring new ideas and opportunities for collaboration,” the company said.

What about subsidized projects?

In detail, the initiatives that benefit from Ethereum’s support are Zerodev Kernel, Etherspot’s Skandha Bundler, Mynawallet, Blocto and Silius. In addition to Schnorrkel.js, Ambire, Iotex, Sixdegreelab, Jam, Tokensight, ZK-Team, Rhinestone, AAA, Unpacking 4337, Hexlink, UniPass and Clave.

We will still hear about these projects if their foray into the Ethereum ecosystem goes well. What is certain at the moment is that each of them offers special features. A unique offer on which each of them can capitalize to establish themselves. All this for the benefit of users.

Ultimately, ERC-4337, also called the account abstraction standard, aims to improve all the functionalities of externally held accounts (EOA). Vitalik Buterin, one of the co-founders of Ethereum, has already highlighted the importance of accelerating its adoption. Its success would simplify the management of crypto portfolios by making them as easy to use as email.
