Withdrawals are halted and team names removed from the site!
Freeway falls into the category of small cap DeFi platforms. It nevertheless has many followers because of the high rewards it offers: up to 43%.
According to the tweet from FatMan, a household name as a trading platform sleuth, Freeway has halted all withdrawals on its platform for several hours. Also in the same tweet, FatMan reveals that Freeway is also eliminating the team from the site. More explicitly, the names of the team members (those running the DeFi platform) have been scrubbed from Freeway’s website.
Interruption of withdrawals on the DeFi Freeway platform: a link with market volatility
The DeFi platform seems to justify the interruption of its services by market volatility. A volatility that Freeway describes as “unprecedented in the foreign exchange and cryptocurrency markets”.
Last October 23, Freeway effectively declared on his Twitter account that he had made the decision to diversify his asset base. A decision planned to better help the company “manage exposure to market fluctuations and volatility” while “ensuring the long-term sustainability and profitability of the Freeway ecosystem”.
The process of setting up and the application of this decision therefore lead to the suspension of the “Supercharger” service of this DeFi platform. This is because the capital will be allocated to the underlying portfolios.
The answer is therefore YES. Withdrawals are indeed suspended on Freeway. But the explanation provided by this DeFi platform does not seem to justify this act. It is also not sufficient for users. For its part, Freeway does not wish to go further and give more information (if we refer to its tweet: “While we complete this process, we cannot comment further beyond this statement”).
