What does the AI Expo Europe 2026 program contain?
The AI Expo Europe 2026 program is organized around two stages, one for conferences and the other for demonstrations. According to theofficial event agendaaccessed October 18, 2026, the AI Expo Europe program has 63 sessions. Among them, there are 44 keynotes or round tables and 19 live demonstrations. However, the opening keynote on November 1 has yet to be announced.
Content-wise, the themes cover defense and national security, child protection against deepfakes, the AI supply chain and the global race for this technology. Then, the demonstrations show concrete cases, from code to customer service, in finance, accounting or law. This subject joins that of AI agents in crypto payments, already covered by the editorial staff.
Finally, the AI Excellence Awards take place on the evening of November 1st. However, only VIP tickets give access to the pre-gala. Additionally, the dedicated page opens nominations for 39 categories.
Who are the speakers announced in Bucharest?
The big names come first from tech. Thus, Microsoft, Google, Oracle and LinkedIn are holding a keynote on November 1st. The next day, NVIDIA, Adobe, ING, Alibaba Cloud, IBM, KPMG and Palo Alto Networks take over. In addition, ING is sending Bahadir Yilmaz, chief data & analytics officer of the group, and Philipp Gamauf, financial director of ING Romania.
The organizer also announced new names on X. For example, Ana Maria Borlovan, general director of Uber for Romania and eight markets, joins the event. Additionally, Mihai Filip, founder of OVES Enterprise, brings the defense perspective. Finally, WorldGuard and PPC become sponsors.
However, the agenda displays 68 named speakers, while the organizer announces more than 100. The organizer does not explain this discrepancy. It will therefore undoubtedly be filled by the time it opens.
What place for crypto and the AI Act in the AI Expo Europe program?
First of all, neither session is about crypto in its title. On the other hand, several speakers have a blockchain profile, according to the organizer’s biographies. Crypto therefore passes through people rather than session titles.
Next, Felix Crisan, co-founder of Netopia and BTKO.in, takes part in two roundtable discussions on November 2. The organizer describes BTKO.in as the first Romanian crypto exchange, active since 2013. For his part, Sebastian Cochinescu speaks on November 1 on cybersecurity, then on AI in health. On the other hand, the four lawyers of VD Law Group, including managing partner Sergiu T. Vasilescu, still have no sessions.
On the other hand, the European regulation on AI, the AI Act, has its own roundtable on November 2. Victor Negrescu, vice-president of the European Parliament, sits there with Pavel Popescu, from ANCOM, the Romanian communications regulator. Finally, Tudor Galos, AI governance consultant, completes the panel. Furthermore, the organizer announces a stage dedicated to the AI Act, but its content remains to be published. Thus, this framework also concerns crypto platforms that integrate AI, for example in customer support or the fight against fraud.
For a crypto reader, the AI Expo Europe program is summarized in four sessions, according to the official agenda:
| Date and time (Bucharest) | Session | Speaker |
|---|---|---|
| November 1, 3:10 p.m. | Cyber Battlefield | Sebastian Cochinescu |
| November 2, 10:20 a.m. | Your Data Is the Product | Felix Crisan |
| November 2, 2:00 p.m. | The AI Supply Chain | Felix Crisan |
| November 2, 3:30 p.m. | The AI Act in Practice | Victor Negrescu, Pavel Popescu, Tudor Galos |
Why is AI a topic for a 5.2% adoption market?
In 2025, 5.2% of Romanian companies with 10 or more employees used AI. This is the lowest rate in the European Union, compared to 20% on average and 42% in Denmark, according to Eurostat. In other words, the gap between Denmark and Romania is a factor of eight.
For his part, the organizer draws an argument from this. In his assessment of the 2025 editionhe claims that more than 3,200 professionals have purchased or requested a ticket. However, these figures are declarative and have not been independently verified.
The question that every company in this 5.2% (soon to be much more) asks is no longer “should we use AI”, but “where does it really benefit us”.
