Uniswap v4 crosses $44 billion in 30-day trading volume. The latest version of the crypto protocol now accounts for 49.9% of Uniswap’s total activity, ahead of v3. This progression comes as the UNI token attempts to recover after defending the $6.80 support. Traders are particularly monitoring a liquidity zone located around $11.

In brief
- Uniswap v4 exceeds $44 billion in trade in 30 days.
- The new version represents 49.9% of the protocol volume, compared to 44.9% for v3.
- The UNI token has rebounded from $6.80, with a significant liquidity zone around $11.
Uniswap v4 captures almost half of crypto exchanges
Uniswap has just published important figures regarding its fourth version. Over the last thirty days, the protocol has processed more than $44 billion in transactions via v4. This version now accounts for 49.9% of the total volume of Uniswap. v3 still represents 44.9% of exchanges, while v2 only retains 5.2%. For the first time in this recent distribution, the fourth generation is clearly ahead of each of the old versions taken separately.
The start is rather successful. Deployed on January 31, 2025, Uniswap v4 had been launched on twelve blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon and Optimism.
This new architecture introduces hooksmodules allowing developers to customize the operation of liquidity pools.
In particular, they can modify fees, automate certain operations or create more elaborate management strategies. Uniswap v4 also improves transaction efficiency with an architecture that consolidates pools into a master contract and an optimized accounting system.
These features reduce some costs of using the crypto protocol. The figures released this week give a concrete indication of its adoption. v4 represents almost as much volume as the two old versions combined. v3 nevertheless retains an important place with nearly 45% of exchanges.
The crypto market is also observing the rebound of the UNI crypto
While the protocol’s activity progresses, the UNI crypto tries to regain height. The price recently defended the $6.80 area. Buyers intervened at this level, allowing a rebound and improvement in the technical structure on the hourly chart.
On the daily chart, UNI was also trading above its 20, 30 and 50 day exponential moving averages. Derivatives positions showed some optimism.
According to Coinalyze data, around 63% of the positions tracked were trending upward. Buyers therefore dominated this sample of the market. This concentration also carries a risk. If UNI suddenly falls again, leveraged long positions could experience liquidations.
Uniswap, however, has another element likely to interest investors: its fee capture mechanism. In February 2026, a governance vote accompanied a 15% increase in the UNI token. The proposal included expanding the protocol’s fee collection to several additional networks.
Part of the revenue can thus feed mechanisms to reduce the supply of UNI crypto. Be careful, however, not to confuse the two indicators. The $44 billion corresponds to exchanges made on Uniswap v4, not purchases of the UNI token.
Can UNI take advantage of the $44 billion in volume?
Analysts are now monitoring an area around $11. According to CoinGlass’ liquidation map, approximately $535.1 million in potential liquidity is concentrated near this level.
This area could attract the price if demand for UNI continues to grow. To achieve this from the $6.80 support, the UNI crypto would need to see an upside of around 62%. A significant movement that cannot be deduced from the volume of activity aloneUniswap v4.
Buyers have yet to confirm their presence in the spot market. The crypto protocol nevertheless has an economic model different from that of its early years. In December 2025, Uniswap destroyed 100 million UNI tokens, after the approval of the UNIfication program.
Further destruction can occur through the mechanism associated with protocol fees. On June 6, 2026, Uniswap notably recorded a burn of 134,000 UNI in a single day. These operations reduce the supply of tokens, without guaranteeing an increase in their price.
For now, usage numbers remain stronger than technical signals. With 49.9% of the total volume, v4 has established itself among the main entry points for decentralized trading on Uniswap. UNI crypto has yet to turn this activity into sustainable demand. A return to $11 remains possible, but will also depend on the general evolution of the crypto market.
