In a crypto market dominated by capital outflows, XRP is an exception. As investment products linked to bitcoin and Ether experience withdrawals, funds backed by Ripple's token continue to attract new capital. A dynamic that contrasts with general market sentiment and attracts the attention of institutional investors.

In brief
- XRP funds continue to attract capital despite the correction hitting the entire crypto market.
- Investment products linked to Bitcoin and Ethereum are recording outflows, creating a divergence noticed by analysts.
- XRP ETFs have accumulated over $1.43 billion in inflows, hitting a new all-time high.
- Bitwise and Canary Capital are in a tight battle to dominate the XRP funds market.
XRP funds hold up as capital leaves bitcoin and Ethereum
The correction currently hitting the crypto market is not sparing the main cryptos. However, the flows observed within investment products offer a different reading. So, XRP-linked funds continue to see inflows as Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs experience outflows.
During an exchange with Paul Barron, Zack Pandl, director of research at Grayscale, highlighted this uniqueness of the market. The analyst explained in particular that “XRP-linked investment products saw inflows, while bitcoin and Ethereum-backed products saw outflows”highlighting a marked contrast between the three main cryptos followed by institutional investors.
This divergence appears in a context of high volatility on the markets. As investors reduce their exposure to several risky assets, XRP appears to be receiving different treatment from some capital managers. Investment flows are often a leading indicator of market sentiment. As such, XRP's ability to attract capital despite the general decline in the sector is attracting the attention of analysts.
Data cited by several market players reveal this dynamic:
- XRP investment products saw over $131 million in net inflows in May;
- Bitcoin-related products suffered capital outflows over the same period;
- Ethereum-backed investment vehicles also saw withdrawals;
- XRP funds have only seen five days of outflows since their launch;
- XRP had already surpassed bitcoin in weekly flows during previous collection periods.
These figures illustrate an unusual situation in the world of cryptos. As capital leaves the two largest assets in the market, a portion of institutional investors continues to increase their exposure to XRP, creating a divergence that fuels debates about the evolving preferences of large financial players.
XRP ETFs Break Records Despite Market Volatility
While the inflows recorded by the XRP ETFs during the week may seem modest at first glance, they take on a whole new dimension when placed in context. XRP-backed funds attracted approximately $2.62 million in net capital over the period. This progression was built despite persistent volatility on the market and a week marked by contrasting movements.
June 3 was the only real withdrawal session, with $5.34 million in outflows. These disengagements, however, were offset by larger inflows observed at other times of the week. XRP ETFs recorded $4.13 million in inflows on 1er June, then another $3.83 million on June 4, while the other sessions remained relatively stable.
This momentum allowed XRP funds to reach a new all-time high. Cumulative inflows into ETFs dedicated to the asset now exceed $1.43 billion, a level never reached until now. Behind this progression is also a tight battle between the main fund managers positioned on XRP.
Bitwise currently maintains a slight lead with around $467 million in assets under management, while Canary Capital's XRPC product follows closely behind with almost $458 million. The gap remains limited, a sign of particularly intense competition between issuers seeking to capture demand which, despite market turbulence, continues to support investment products linked to XRP.
The evolution of these flows will be closely monitored in the coming weeks. Beyond the performance of the token itself, the regular progression of assets under management shows that investors continue to give increasing importance to financial products built around XRP. If this trend continues, it could strengthen the asset's position within the regulated crypto investment ecosystem and further fuel anticipations around its institutional adoption.
