Ripple's XRPL (XRP Ledger) is preparing to experience a major innovation that could strengthen and develop its network, according to recent revelations from one of the developers of its ecosystem. The latter, using the pseudonym “Vincent Van Code”, announced that the Testnet version of “immutable file storage forever” will be launched in the next two months. This system will allow users to notar documents directly on XRPL.

A notarization project that has become a global archive
In a previous post on X, Van Code explained that the project initially aimed at the notarization of documents on XRPL, using chain hash and digital signatures linked to legal documents.
The project has since evolved to become a global archiving system that can apply to several industries, from the right to health through finance. It is designed to be replied worldwide and controlled via popular cryptos portfolios.
During the notarization process, when a person or a company downloads a document, the system creates a hash and records it on XRPL as proof of existence.
A crypto -based signature system also makes it possible to verify the associated signatures and legal documents, ensuring their validity before the courts.
According to the developer, the initial target public includes companies and law firms. Ultimately, the system can be used for daily cases such as medical records or receipts. The price model will include several levels, ranging from a free entry -level plan to a premium level requiring verified signatories (KYC).
Development is progressing: coding in progress
Van Code clarified that the coding, constituting the back-end of the product, started. However, The project has grown and now exceeds simple notarizationaimed at permanent storage compliant and anchored on XRPL.

Anticipated deployment should offer global 100 -year file storage operating on XRPL. It is important to note that the file is designed to comply with global standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001 and dry regulations.
Van Code has mentioned that users will pay a unique inexpensive fee based on the planned storage time. Access to files will be linked directly to the Crypto portfolio of the user, either Xaman (formerly Xumm) for individuals, or a daycare service for companies.
The testnet soon launched
A first MVP testnet should be launched in the coming 2-3 weeks, during which users can test downloads using testing wallets. The files of this phase will not be permanent and will be reset each week. Van Code allocated a key role to the design of the enlarged vision to the community.
At the same time, the developer described this initiative as a breakthrough, calling it “first immutable storage forever fed by XRPL in the world” and a potential changer of play. He encouraged the public to give his opinion and recalled that the MVP test was expected in two months.
At the time of publication, the XRP is exchanged at $ 2.88, down more than 9% in the last four weeks, after negotiations in a tight price configuration.
