Through a tweet on August 17, Mykhailo Fedorov reported on how crypto donations were spent by Ukraine. Actually the 54 million dollars of cryptos raised by Aid For Ukraine made it possible to equip the country’s defenders. The funds were generally used to purchase military equipment, vehicles, armored clothing and medicines.
According to a Ukrainian government official, these aids played aimportant role in the defense of Ukraine“. Indeed, 11.8 million dollars made it possible to buy drones to, among other things, direct attacks. $6.9 million was used to purchase bulletproof vests. And Ukraine used $5.2 million to conduct anti-war media campaigns.
That said, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said:Every helmet, body armor and night vision device saves the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. Thus, we must continue to support our defenders. Thank you very much to everyone in the crypto community for supporting Ukraine!“.
Aid For Ukraine managed to collect $54 million worth of cryptocurrencies. This amount has helped Ukraine enormously in the war against Russia. It must be said that the aid was paid in particular in ether (10,190 ETH) and in bitcoin (595 BTC).
