The future of cryptos: an AI that reads our thoughts and stores them on the blockchain

Artificial intelligence (AI) has experienced rapid development in recent months. Although perceived by many as a threat, the potential of the latter remains considerable for almost all sectors. Blockchain and cryptos are no exception.

An AI system capable of reading minds!

Artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining ground and it is little to say. Recently, the international tax and financial auditing and consulting company KMPG revealed the interest of several States for this technology.

In parallel with this evolution, research around AI is not slowing down. According to recent information, researchers from the University of Texas designed an AI that reads minds.

This advance would be based on the same principle that gave birth to the ChatGPT conversational agent. That is to say that this new AI works on the model of a neural network architecture, used in deep learning.

Specifically, the researchers subjected several subjects to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The process made it possible to collect information on their brain activity in a non-invasive way (without surgical implantation). This, while they listened to hours of podcasts.

The data collected at the end of this process made it possible to train the AI on the mechanisms of thought of the subjects. And the results are not negligible. Without being absolutely precise, the AI manages, in 50% of cases, to interpret and reconstruct human thoughts.

Clearly, this new development of artificial intelligence is cause for concern. Legitimate fears of the coup, since it suggests that the AI would in fact now be able to infiltrate and decode thoughts. But the researchers are reassuring. According to them, “Subject cooperation is currently required both to train and use the decoder.”

The Implications of This New AI Development for Cryptos

You should know that this progress in the development of artificial intelligence is not new in itself. Indeed, Saudi researchers have recently designed a method to improve the accuracy of diagnosis of brain tumors. A process that processes MRI results through a blockchain-based neural network.

For the analysts, it is not excluded that the ideas of these two pioneering studies will be profitably exploited. Not only to create an AI capable of “read minds” of a person effectively. But also to store them on the blockchain. This possibility could also push many to want to obtain Non-Fungible Token (NFT) from their thoughts. Or at least to keep them for legal purposes, or simply for hereditary reasons.
