The founders of BitPanda entered the venture capital market

The three founders of BitPanda, Eric Demuth, Paul Klanschek and Christian Trummer, have added a string to their bow: a venture capital company. After having democratized online investment among individuals, now the founders are embarking on the financing of fintech startups.

BitPanda Founders: Venture Capital Firm Launched in May

BitPanda is the ability to make small investments in crypto without having to delve into the intricacies of trading. In addition to cryptocurrencies, the platform also allows its users to invest in several types of assets, such as stocks or metals. This, via an intuitive platform of quality and easy to handle. Thanks to which, BitPanda quickly gained popularity. The company has also won unicorn status, the first in Austria.

While riding on the success of BitPanda, the three founders of the exchange (Eric Demuth, Paul Klanschek and Christian Trummer) recently created a venture capital firm. According to The Block, the founding documents for the company, dubbed Diamond Hand Ventures, date back to May. Eric Demuth has already invested in fintech startups as a business angel. This new VC goes in this direction. It is a small structure, they say, with certainly big ambitions, like BitPanda.

Several fintech startups already funded

The founders of BitPanda created a venture capital company.

Since its inception, Diamond Hand Ventures has already managed several fintech investments. Thanks to their company capital risk, the founders of BitPanda notably participated in the Series B fundraising ($50 million) of Copper. It is a Swiss provider of institutional digital asset custody and trading solutions. Diamond Hand Ventures has also invested in Tatum, an American blockchain infrastructure startup. The latter helps users facilitate the development of their own blockchain-based product.

The company also participated in the financing of the English startup Payable. The latter has developed a fintech platform intended to streamline payment transactions. The solution enables businesses to create complex payment flows, then reconcile and automate bank transfers. Companies can thus easily manage the entire financial aspect from a single platform. Consola Finance (Austria) also received funding from Diamond Hand Ventures. This inter-company finance and accounting SaaS platform aims to automate financial processes.

With the creation of this venture capital firm, the three founders of BitPanda are following in the footsteps of other fintech founders like Nik Storonsky, the creator of Revolut.
