Sam Bankman-Fried rose to prominence as one of the Democratic Party’s biggest donors during the 2022 primary season. The former FTX CEO reportedly donated $37 million to Democratic candidates. An act which he moreover made public during a interview published in November.
In one of his statements, Sam Bankman-Fried claims to have paid the same amount to the GOP. Always as a donation. He nevertheless specifies that he did so anonymously so that his links with the GOP did not become controversial.
