Cryptoqueen Tries to Sell Property After $4 Billion Theft

A few years ago, the German citizen of Bulgarian origin, Ruja Ignatova launched the OneCoin crypto. She quickly made headlines by marketing the latter worldwide. But, after attracting thousands of investors and raising £3.40billion, Ignatova fled. Also, since 2017, she has been wanted by Interpol. She is also one of the most wanted people by the FBI, since June 2022. While she has not given any sign of life for a long time, we learn that she is deceased. Find out what happened.

The harrowing circumstances of Ruja Ignatova’s disappearance

Ruja Ignatova, nicknamed the “Cryptoqueen”, took around 4 billion euros from her investors with her in 2017. At the time, it was revealed that she boarded a plane around the capital from Bulgaria. She was then seen in Athens, Greece, for the last time.

Now we learn that Ignatova would be passed away in November 2018. She was reportedly killed on a yacht in Greece, then dismembered to be thrown into the Ionian Sea.

Death of the Cryptoqueen

It appears that a drug trafficker named Hristo Hristov is responsible for the murder of Ruja Ignatova. For information, Hristov was arrested some time ago in the Netherlands. He was taken into custody because he was in possession of a large quantity of heroin. That said, the Bulgarian Interior Ministry has yet to confirm reports of Ruja Ignatova’s death. In fact, he didn’t no official statement on the subject.

She would have worked for a big drug lord

He was revealed that investigators found recordings of conversations at Ignatova’s home. This happened after the Cryptoqueen died and the records were seized. Two Bulgarian investigative journalists, having recently become aware of the transcripts of the latter, published them online.

It appears that Ruja Ignatova was the employee of one of the biggest drug lords in Bulgaria. The baron in question is called Hristoforos Amanatidis and is nicknamed Taki. According to the documents, he was the one who ordered the murder of the Cryptoqueen. He would have done so in order to conceal his involvement in the OneCoin affair.

Ignatova still remains on Interpol’s and Europol’s wanted list in 194 countries. In addition, according to the German police, it may be that her appearance has changed, thanks to plastic surgery.
