Starbucks Odyssey, a Web3-inspired program that will feature immersive coffee experiences and NFTs, is opening its beta program in the US. Before the public launch of the program, Starbucks will extend further invitations to more people in January 2023. In the meantime, the company wants to use feedback from beta testers to improve the product.
How the beta program works
Starbucks Odyssey is a complement to the program Starbucks Rewards, giving members access to exciting new benefits and experiences. The experience allows members to take part in a number of enjoyable and engaging “journeys”. Thus, at the end of each trip, members receive “travel stamps” (NFT) and Odyssey points to collect. These freebies then give them access to new perks and unique coffee experiences. It’s still possible to sign up, though only a small number of pending members seem invited to join the beta experience.
Early next year, members will also be able to purchase “limited edition stamps” on the Starbucks Odyssey Marketplace. Created by Starbucks partners (employees), the limited edition stamps will show a new side of Starbucks. They will merge images from the company’s past, present and future into layered works of art.
