A crypto hacker escapes with 270,000 as a memecoin collapses behind him.

In brief

  • CYBERLEEK lost around 46% in 24 hours.
  • Its creator reportedly collected more than $250,000 in total.
  • The token had reached $25 million in capitalization on August 23.

CYBERLEEK crypto climbs thanks to GTA 6 leaks

The story begins with videos that Rockstar had not yet published. Their author gradually distributes them on the Internet with the name of his memecoin Solana directly embedded in the images. Solana memecoins are already attracting a lot of traders despite frequent losses.

CYBERLEEK immediately took advantage of the attention around GTA 6. The message accompanying certain sequences did not even hide the strategy: the higher the capitalization rose, the more new leaks were to arrive. The token finally reached $25 million in valuation on August 23.

Its price peak rises to $0.0344. Tens of thousands of wallets are buying. Between 68,000 and 78,000 wallets would still hold CYBERLEEK after the fall. Then the creator starts to collect. The timing falls just before Rockstar’s first official gameplay presentation.

15.4 million tokens are sent in one transaction

On-chain data first shows around $146,000 recovered in wrapped SOL. The creator also had $15.4 million in CYBERLEEK from fees generated by token activity.

He sells the whole lot. A single trade nets him around $125,000 in SOL. The total amount withdrawn would exceed $250,000 according to an independent analysis carried out around the wallets concerned. The funds were then distributed among four new addresses.

At least 91 SOLs have reportedly joined KuCoin. One detail matters here. The tokens sold did not come from the creator’s initial allocation, which would have been burned previously. They came from fees paid based on trading volume.

This mechanism exists on several memecoin launch platforms. Pump.fun also changed its fee system after recognizing that the old incentives encouraged certain bad behavior. For CYBERLEEK, the market reaction does not take long. The price falls around $0.0097. The capitalization amounts to nearly 7 million.

Rockstar is now looking for the author of the leaks

Take-Two, parent company of Rockstar Games, is not looking at the matter from afar. The company is reportedly seeking to identify the person behind the videos and has made legal requests to X, Microsoft and Discord.

The on-chain track could also give some clues. Investigators tracking the transactions say the initial funding traces back to a KuCoin account subject to a KYC procedure. This could make it easier to identify the owner if authorities obtain the necessary information from the platform.

Rockstar has already called the leaks a difficult situation for its teams. GTA 6 also represents much larger sums than CYBERLEEK. Take-Two forecasts between $8 billion and $8.2 billion in net bookings for its 2027 financial year. Some analysts expect 45 million copies of the game sold during its launch window.

The memecoin will have benefited from this wait for nine days. The episode also recalls the many cases where people close to a token sell while individuals buy. A Solana memecoin lawsuit is already examining accusations of benefits given to certain insiders. CYBERLEEK had reached $25 million. The creator cashed in. The token is now worth around 7 million.
