Polygon Labs has declared its collaboration with Fractal, an NFT platform created by Justin Kan. Having been a hit on the Solana blockchain from its inception, Fractal is now bringing its Web3 game suite and all its features to Polygon.
Fractal brings the NFT platform to Polygon
Justin Kan, co-founder of Twitch, and Fractal explained that many game developers want to be on Polygon. This is the reason why the gaming platform extends to this blockchain. Fractal’s suite of products, Web3 games and all features will be available on Polygon. We find in particular an NFT launch pad, a market, tournaments, a connection service with Fractal and the developer SDK. The latter allows developers to build marketplaces using the Fractal SDK so players don’t have to leave the game to browse and perform NFT transactions.
Polygon is a great choice as it has garnered massive attention in the web3 space. the co-founder of Twitch confirms this by stating that their goal is to support game developers, many of whom want to be on Polygon. Major brands such as Starbucks, Nike, Reddit and Meta have already used the network for their platforms.
Fractal has had great success on Solana
Justin Kan, also co-founder of Twitch, launched Fractal in December 2021. A period corresponding to the heyday of Solana which saw an all-time high price on its SOL token and an increase in NFT sales. The Fractal platform then found its target audience. But Kan said early buyers are mostly interested in speculating on Solana NFTs rather than backing and investing in game projects.
Lately, Polygon is getting a lot more interest from game developers. Thus, the company worked to switch to the new blockchain. In October, Fractal launched support for NFT-powered games on the Ethereum sidechain network. Separately, Polygon Ventures will make a strategic investment in Fractal, although the amount has not been disclosed.
