The twelfth edition of the European Blockchain Convention will be held on September 16 and 17, 2026 in Barcelona. This year, the meeting is taking on its institutional turn more than ever: banks, asset managers and market infrastructures are at the top of the bill, with BlackRock, Swift, State Street and Citi on the program. Here’s what to expect, what entry costs, and the code reserved for the Tremplin.io community.

In brief
- The European Blockchain Convention 12 will be held on September 16-17, 2026 in Barcelona, at the Torre Melina (Gran Meliá).
- The organizer announces more than 6,000 participants and 300 speakers expected.
- The 2026 positioning is openly institutional: “where Europe does business in digital assets”.
- Among the speakers: digital assets managers from BlackRock, Swift, State Street, Citi, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, plus Stani Kulechov (Aave) and the Cardano Foundation.
- The community code INATBA_15 applies 15% reduction on the current rate (excluding VAT).

An event designed for finance that switches to on-chain
The European Blockchain Convention has never hidden its ambition: to bring together in two days an ecosystem usually scattered between European financial centers. The promise is held in one image, that of a “deal floor” where traditional banks and digital asset players find themselves on the same floor.
The 2026 program takes this logic to its conclusion. Where many crypto events highlight protocols and tokens, the EBC places institutions at the center. The list of speakers announced confirms this unambiguously: Nikhil Sharma (BlackRock), Tom Zschach (Swift), Kim Hochfeld (State Street), Nadine Teychenne and Ryan Rugg (Citi), David Calabaza (BNP Paribas), Immo Garlichs (Deutsche Bank), Kathleen Wrynn (Invesco), Previn Singh (Fidelity International). In other words, the “digital assets” managers of large management houses and custodian banks, not just start-up founders.
The native crypto world is not absent, however. Stani Kulechov, founder of Aave, the Cardano Foundation, and Animoca Brands are in the casting, alongside the British regulator FCA. It is precisely this mix – TradFi, crypto natives, regulators – which constitutes the central argument of the edition.
Deal Floor, Startup Battle and beneficiary breakfasts
The format is calibrated for connection. On the menu: an expanded exhibition area, a networking application that allows you to identify the right contacts and set up meetings in advance, closed round tables between peers, and an “LP breakfast” reserved for beneficiaries, managers and family offices. The Startup Battle highlights young shoots in market infrastructure.
It is therefore not a festival in the broad sense, but a dense business meeting, anchored in a hotel – the Torre Melina – rather than on a beach. The difference in dynamics is assumed by the organizer, who relies on longer conversations and a framework conducive to negotiation. For a reader who comes looking for general public education, this is a point to take into account: EBC is primarily aimed at professionals in the sector.
A word of caution, since the event itself displays it: investment in cryptoassets is not regulated, may not be suitable for individuals, and the entire invested capital may be lost. The presence of a platform or transmitter on stage is an industry debate, never a recommendation.
Prices and benefits of the community code
Three pass levels are offered, all for two days and all excluding VAT (10%). The General Pass starts at €500 for Early Bird, then €750 for Regular and €1,800 for Late Bird. The VIP Pass adds lunch with speakers, the opening evening on September 15 and access to the Speaker Lounge, from €800. The Tiger Pass, designed for business development, includes access to the list of participants and three face-to-face meetings, from €2,499.
Detail that counts: prices rise in stages as the date approaches, and a countdown on the site signals the imminent end of the Early Bird. It is therefore better to book early. Payment is possible in euros as well as in crypto.
With the code Cointribune_15 the Tremplin.io community gets 15% off the current rate — or, on a General Pass Early Bird, around €425 instead of €500 (excluding VAT). Code applies at checkout. As always, the ticket does not cover travel or accommodation in Barcelona.
The real question posed by this edition remains: if the digital assets managers of BlackRock, Swift and State Street are making the trip, it is because tokenization is leaving the experimental stage. What will be said in the closed round tables on September 16 and 17 will say more about the real timetable for this shift than any press release. The appointment is made.
