A great advocate of the crypto revolution and emergency doctor, Dr. John Forsyth was found dead a week after being reported missing by his relatives. The deceased is the co-founder of the Onfo crypto project and even appeared in a Forbes ranking of crypto millionaires in 2022.
Apparent gunshot wounds…
Dr Forsyth had been missing in Missouri for a week when his lifeless body was found. His body was recovered from a lake in northwest Arkansas with gunshot wounds clearly visible. Police forces said it was not a murder, but did not provide further details on the circumstances of his death.
The wanted notice for the co-founder of the crypto project Onfo was launched by the relatives of the disappeared when they noticed that he was late for work for a quarter of an hour on May 21. An emergency room doctor at Mercy Hospital in Cassy, John Forsyth was known for his punctuality. In fact, his delay quickly worried his family, who immediately launched an appeal on social networks to find him.
On May 28, authorities found the doctor’s car parked less than a kilometer from the hospital. The deceased’s wallet, laptop, passport, briefcase and mobile phone were inside the unlocked vehicle.
This discovery worried his relatives more, because according to his younger brother, Richard Forsyth, Dr. Forsyth never leaves his mobile phone. The search ended on May 30 when the body was found, about an hour south of where it was last seen.

A 49-year-old father of seven, the man launched the ONFO project with his brother Richard in 2020. During the presentation of his project, he claimed that users could earn bitcoins by referring other people to the exchange platform: this is the principle of network mining.
Dr Forsyth’s brother said during his disappearance that the latter had just become engaged after finalizing his divorce recently. His fiancée also wrote a post on Facebook in which she decried him as the love of her life.
