Darknet hackers are selling crypto accounts for $30 a dose

A study by Privacy Affairs reveals that darknet hackers are selling Binance accounts for $410 on the darknet. Accounts on other crypto platforms are sold for as low as $30 each. Online bank account credentials as well as credit card details are also sold.

Privacy Affairs is an online security data provider. He published a report written after research that reveals darknet hackers are selling all kinds of financial information on the dark web. Account information on major cryptocurrency exchanges is included here. The most expensive accounts are first Kraken ones worth $1,170. Then come those of Binance at $410. Those from Crypto.com and Coinbase come next at $300 and $250 respectively. The cheapest accounts are those of American users of Bittrex sold at $30.

In one year, these prices have risen a lot. Indeed, as recalled CointelegraphKraken and Binance accounts cost $260 and $250 respectively in 2022. This information can easily allow a hacker to impersonate the account holder and pass KYC identity verifications.

Crypto accounts aren’t the only victims of darknet hackers

You can also buy credit card details with account balances of up to $5,000 on the Darknet. They are priced as low as $110. Online bank account credentials are also sold. With just $60, you can purchase an account with a balance of $2,000.

Facebook, Gmail, and Instagram login credentials are also available. Those from Facebook and Instagram are around $25, while those from Gmail are around $60. The physical documents are also there. For example, you can find driver’s licenses and passports sold for as little as $150.
