Michael Saylor believes that the cryptocurrency market is entering a new phase of growth, despite recent uncertainties. In an interview with Bloomberg Television, the head of Strategy says that bitcoin has probably bottomed out below $60,000. He now anticipates a return above $100,000, without giving a precise timetable. Its forecasts are based in particular on the evolution of the regulatory framework, banking adoption and the development of digital credit.

Michael Saylor believes that Bitcoin has reached its low point
During his interview with Bloomberg Television, Michael Saylor said the market bottomed just below $60,000. According to him, the price can now start to rise again.
We bottomed at a level just below $60,000. We’ll start from there.

Executive Chairman of Strategy describe thus the situation as the start of a new bull market. However, he did not set any deadline for a return above $100,000.
Its vision is part of a long-term perspective. Saylor forecasts annual growth of 20% to 30% over the next twenty years. He clarifies that he does not seek to profit from short-term price movements. This position reflects its investment strategy, which is based on prolonged holding of the digital asset. It therefore considers temporary variations as part of the market cycle.
The leader attributes the previous weakness in prices to trade policies, tensions on the international scene and monetary decisions. He nevertheless believes that several factors now support more favorable developments. Among them are:
- A favorable regulatory environment;
- Accelerated adoption by banks;
- The growth of tokenized securities;
- Strengthening digital credit networks.
These changes could, according to him, strengthen the links between traditional financial markets and digital assets.
Artificial intelligence strengthens its argument
Michael Saylor also draws on the development of artificial intelligence to explain the potential interest in rare digital assets. According to him, investors will look more for resources that robots cannot reproduce at will. He places bitcoin in this category and presents it as the “king of commodities”. This analysis associates the scarcity of the asset with an evolution of investors’ needs in a rapidly transforming technological environment.
The manager also recalls that the price briefly fell below its 200-week moving average before rebounding. He points out that the price then regained a premium of 25% compared to this indicator. This development constitutes an important element of his analysis of the current cycle. However, it is not enough, on its own, to confirm that the market has definitely reached its low point.
Saylor also minimizes the importance of the American electoral deadlines in the long-term outlook. He believes that adoption will mainly depend on the ability of companies to offer useful and popular products. In his interview post, he describes bitcoin as a form of raw financial energy. It also presents Strategy as a company capable of transforming this resource into digital credit.
Strategy defends its structured finance model
The interview also touched on Strategy’s bitcoin sales this year. The first sale of 32 BTC sparked reactions among the company’s supporters. However, Saylor points out that subsequent sales of several thousand units did not prevent the market from growing. He thus wishes to change the perception of Strategy, which he describes as a structured finance company.
Under this approach, the company can move from equities to cash, credit and cryptocurrencies depending on market conditions. Saylor says recent sales aren’t the core of its future strategy. He also estimates that Strategy has probably purchased more bitcoin than any other company this year. The company intends to continue its acquisitions during the bullish phase, in particular through the issuance of credit-linked securities.
After a new purchase of 250 BTC announced on October 12, Strategy’s reserves now reach 848,250 BTC. This position confirms the central place of cryptocurrencies in the company’s financial model. Saylor also recalls the performance recorded since the first purchase made in August 2020. Over this period, bitcoin has grown by around 38% per year, while MSTR stock has posted an annual return of between 52 and 53%, according to its statements.
Bitcoin’s return to $100,000 remains uncertain
Despite the perspectives put forward by Michael Saylor, the available indicators still show a certain caution. The price of bitcoin was trading near $83,900 at the start of the day. At the same time, prediction markets assigned only a 27% chance of the price returning to $100,000. This gap between the manager’s expectations and market probabilities highlights the uncertainty surrounding the next step.
Strategy also faces an issue linked to its presence in global stock indices. MSCI must announce by October 16 whether new eligibility rules could lead to the company being excluded from its indexes. Such a decision could affect the investment flows associated with its action. JPMorgan estimated that approximately $2.8 billion could be affected by this possible exclusion.
Michael Saylor criticized MSCI’s proposed position and hopes that the index provider will reverse its decision. This issue adds additional pressure on Strategy, regardless of developments in the cryptocurrency market. The company will therefore have to simultaneously manage its accumulation objectives and the possible consequences of a change in stock market rules. The expected decision could thus influence its financial environment in the short term.
In the medium term, the bullish scenario defended by Michael Saylor will depend on several factors, including price movements, institutional adoption and regulatory conditions. A return above $100,000 remains its objective, but there is no timetable to confirm this trajectory. At the same time, Strategy will have to monitor MSCI’s decisions and maintain its ability to finance its acquisitions. Bitcoin will therefore move between long-term growth prospects and market-specific uncertainties.
