A week after the European Blockchain Convention, Barcelona is back on the technology front. The AI Summit Barcelona takes place on September 22 and 23, 2026 at the World Trade Center, on the port. A summit that bets on AI “in action”, not on foresight
The positioning is assumed, and it contrasts with the big futuristic raids. The AI Summit Barcelona wants to show AI that works: live demonstrations, workshops, production use cases rather than prediction panels. As for headliners, Chema Alonso, vice-president of Cloudflare, is among the confirmed speakers. The event is hosted by AI Events Barcelona, a structure founded by Guillaume Rostand — also president of French Tech Barcelona — alongside entrepreneurs Adam Hruska and Tanguy Wyncker.
One figure deserves to be handled with caution: the 10,000 participants are the objective, not the achievement. The first edition, in 2025, brought together around 1,500 at the Glovo Campus. The jump is spectacular — and, as with any rapidly growing event, it is the attendance observed on site that will decide, not the pre-program estimate.
Why a crypto media is interested in it: the AI × Web3 bridge
The question is legitimate: what is Tremplin.io doing at a summit dedicated to artificial intelligence? The answer lies in a word that has become central to both sides: agents.
