Microstrategy continues its accumulation strategy: $ 357 million Bitcoin added to the wallet

While Bitcoin briefly fell to $ 112,000, Microstrategy has taken the opportunity to increase its strategic stock. Michael Saylor, the largest public holder of BTC, maintains his bet on Bitcoin despite acquisitions now reduced.

A triumphant man brandished a luminous bitcoin symbol, standing on a mountain of golden pieces.

In short

  • Microstrategy bought 3,081 BTC for $ 357 million despite the drop in bitcoin to $ 112,000.
  • Its assets now reach 632,457 BTC, valued at $ 46.5 billion.
  • The company maintains its ambitious objectives for 2025, aimed at a 30 %BTC yield.

A new targeted purchase of 3,081 BTC

Last week, Microstrategy announced the purchase of 3,081 bitcoins for an amount of $ 356.9 million, according to an official deposit with the SEC. The average price reaches $ 115,829, slightly above the recent hollow of $ 112,000 recorded on Thursday.

The company now holds 632,457 bitcoins, purchased for 46.5 billion, an average price of $ 73,527. In other words, despite the market fluctuations, Saylor remains largely a winner on his massive allowance.

This purchase completes two more modest acquisitions made earlier in August, i.e. 430 BTC then 155 BTC. Microstrategy acquired 3,666 bitcoins in August, significantly less than 31,466 BTC bought during the month of July. The trend is clear: the rate runs out of steam, even if the conviction remains intact.

An assumed strategy: buy high, ignore the hollows

Unlike most investors, Michael Saylor claims an atypical approach. Its credo is simple: do not take advantage of the corrections, but strengthen the position even at high prices. I'm going to buy the top forever. Bitcoin is the outing strategy, he said in 2024.

This vision is explained by a particular reading of Bitcoin: not a speculative asset subject to cycles, but a reserve of value whose future price will inevitably surpass the current entry points. For microstrategy each purchasewhether it is made at $ 30,000 or $ 115,000, is part of a long -term trajectory.

However, this radical strategy challenges. As the purchase rate slows down, some analysts wonder if the company does not prepare a tactical break before a new more marked bullish cycle.

Performance objectives noted for 2025

Beyond the volumes purchased, attention is now focused on internal performance indicators. In July, Microstrategy raised its objectives. Bitcoin yield measuring the variation between its assets and diluted shares was increased from 25 % to 30 % for 2025. Likewise, the BTC gain target was adjusted from $ 15 to 20 billion.

Already, the 25 % mark was crossed in July, and the indicator reached 25.4 % earlier this week. Since January, Bitcoin's raw earnings have displayed an impressive 113,524 additional BTC.

This dynamic confirms the idea that Microstrategy does not only put on accumulation, but also on the optimization of its financial results linked to the BTC. If the rate of purchase slows down, it may be to better adjust the strategy according to the objectives set, without renouncing the ultimate ambition: to make bitcoin the spine of the shareholder value of the company.
