Based on the tweet from Ethereum Foundation developer Alexander Forshat, U°Today highlighted theimminent arrival of ERC 4337 at the level of Ethereum Virtual Machine rollups. For the moment, this is just a proposal. However, once it becomes effective, this account abstraction will facilitate blurring the line between accounts on Ethereum and smart contracts.
Alexander Forshat’s proposal is titled: “Roadmap for Native Account Abstraction Introduction”. It also has another name, “RIP-7560: Native Account Abstraction”.
Objective of this proposal: to use, for the first time, the concept of AA in the rollup ecosystem. Using it would facilitate the integration of second-layer scaling solutions for Ethereum, the issuer of the ETH crypto. And at the same time provide on-chain Ethereum wallets with smart contracts functionality.
Conditions to respect
Once AA is enabled in EVM rollups, Ethereum’s L1 and L2 will have similar AA designs conducive to a “ continuous ecosystem “. But before getting there, you will need to make these changes in the smart contract accounts:
- adjustment of entry point address;
- rewrite the validateUserOP function;
- development of transaction logic.
