France hosts 2024 Global AI Security Summit

European leader in the development of artificial intelligence models, France has been chosen to host the global summit on AI security in 2024. The highly anticipated event aims to promote international cooperation as a means of controlling security issues linked to the development and uses of AI. Details.

France takes over, after the United Kingdom and South Korea

Ensuring the ethical and responsible use of AI in the long term is the ultimate goal of the Global AI Security Summit. Summit participants are therefore working together to develop strategies that can help ensure the security and regulation of AI.

The next edition of the summit will be held in six months in South Korea. After South Korea, it will be France’s turn to host the event. The announcement was made by the French Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire and his digital counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot.

The first edition opened this Wednesday 1er November 2023 in London and more precisely at Bletchley Park. It brought together participants from France, Canada, the USA, Japan, India, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, etc. Several artificial intelligence giants were also present. These include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Sony, Meta, OpenAI, etc.

Two initial measures were therefore adopted to control the risks linked to the use of AI. This involves understanding common responsibilities, but also developing a framework for international collaboration on the issue of AI security.

In her opening speech, British Technology Minister Michele Donelan expressed the British government’s pride in hosting the event. She noted that this summit places the UK as one of the world leaders on the issue of regulating AI safety.

France prepares to host the prestigious global summit on AI security

A summit that could accelerate the merger between cryptos and artificial intelligence

It is important to remember that the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence technology has raised serious fears about the security of human society.

In a video that went viral, Elon Musk said that “with artificial intelligence, we summon the devil”. Several scientists and several large entrepreneurs had signed a petition to request an interruption of research on AI for at least 6 months.

This global summit on AI security thus allays fears. It is possible that the third edition which will be held in France will result in concrete decisions. If possible, we should expect to see massive investments to restart the race for artificial intelligence and lead to an advanced merger between cryptocurrencies and artificial intelligence.
