YouTube declares war on Bitcoin: 3 channels closed without explanation!

The Bitcoin community is currently going through a period of crisis, marked by repressive measures that undermine freedom of expression. In just 48 hours, YouTube has shut down over three bitcoin-related channels. No clear explanation was provided to justify these decisions, leaving content creators and bitcoiners in a state of outrage.

Roundup on YouTube: Closure of several Bitcoin channels!

Bitcoin embodies the currency that opposes monopolies of power in the monetary field, a state of affairs that has constantly placed it in conflict with the actors who rule the financial sphere.

This dynamic has been the source of many setbacks for the queen of cryptos and for those who support her. A convincing example of this antagonism manifests itself in the recent deletion of three YouTube channels focused on bitcoin.

YouTube, the iconic video-sharing platform, suddenly and drastically decided to purge three major bitcoin-focused channels, sending shockwaves through the bitcoiner community.

Among the affected channels is one hosted by Max Keizer and Stacy Herbert, respected figures in the Bitcoin space. Hundreds of hours of carefully curated Bitcoin content were taken down without notice or explanation, as evidenced by this tweet from Max Keizer.

Additionally, the CryptoNewsYes channel, a well-known industry news source, was also shut down abruptly and without justification.

An equally alarming situation concerns Plamen Andonov, the organizer of a major Bitcoin conference in Bulgaria. Indeed, on August 4, his channel was closed without notice, casting doubt on the motivations underlying these drastic decisions.

Conflict ignites: War declared!

The recent series of Bitcoin blockchain shutdowns have provoked a strong reaction within the Bitcoin community, which condemns these measures deemed unjustifiable. Members of this community have thus launched urgent appeals to @YouTubeCreators and @YouTube, demanding a reassessment of these decisions described as arbitrary.

This announcement quickly gained momentum on social media, especially on Twitter, where influential figures expressed their support for Max Keizer and his fight for fair treatment.

Even Elon Musk, business mogul and owner of Twitter, has added his voice to the chorus of criticism. In a tweet, he generously offered his legal support:

If you’ve been treated unfairly by your employer for posting or liking something on this platform, we’ll fund your legal bill. Without limits. Please let us know.”

This series of Bitcoin blockchain shutdowns thus exposes the constant challenges faced by centralized platforms, which have the ability to limit freedom of expression at will. In this environment, decentralized protocols like Nostr could eventually emerge as real alternatives, crowding out these social networks.
