Steven Lubka, head of private clients at Swan Bitcoin, believes that BTC will likely reach six figures by 2025, whether under Donald Trump or Kamala Harris. He points out that Bitcoin’s growth is influenced more by global economic conditions than by US political leadership.
James Davies, co-founder of Crypto Valley Exchange, agrees. He notes that while U.S. crypto startups may struggle under a Harris presidency, Bitcoin’s growing institutional presence, especially with the rise of Bitcoin ETFs, will allow the cryptocurrency to thrive in the long term. Davies adds that BTC is a global commodity and that the market does not react negatively to partisan events in the U.S.

Bernstein analysts predict that Bitcoin could reach around $90,000 if Trump is re-elected, while a Harris victory could lead to a temporary drop towards $40,000. However, Lubka insists that the short-term movements should not affect Bitcoin’s medium-term outlook.
While Vice President Harris has yet to reveal her stance on cryptocurrencies, some investors are concerned that she will take a more aggressive regulatory approach, similar to that of Senator Elizabeth Warren and SEC Chairman Gary Gensler. However, Bitcoin has historically performed well despite strict regulatory oversight.
Although the 2024 US presidential election may cause short-term fluctuations in BTC’s price, experts remain optimistic about its long-term prospects. Bitcoin’s growth seems to be influenced more by global economic conditions than election results, suggesting a bright future for the crypto.
