Why 2026 focuses everything on Singapore
Usually, TOKEN2049 punctuates the year in two stages: an edition in Dubai in the spring, one in Singapore in the fall. The postponement of the Dubai version to April 2027 changes the situation. Singapore becomes the brand’s only major rallying point in 2026, making it, in fact, the meeting place where most players will choose to unveil products, collections and partnerships. The 2025 edition was already sold out; the pressure on tickets is therefore not theoretical.
The scale remains difficult to compare to anything else in the industry. Born in Hong Kong in 2018, the event moved its flagship edition to Singapore in 2022, and today occupies all five floors of Marina Bay Sands. The figures put forward by the organizer reflect less a conference than an entire industry week, extended by the TOKEN2049 Week and its fifty parallel events.
Who goes on stage, and what is happening around
The announced platform mixes platform leaders, funds and public crypto figures. Among the names cited by the organizer, subject to modification: Richard Teng (Binance), Paolo Ardoino (Tether), Arthur Hayes (BitMEX) or Vlad Tenev (Robinhood). The final programming is continuously updated on the official website.
Around the keynotes, the format extends beyond the conference room. NEXUS puts selected startups in competition on a global stage. Origins, the in-house hackathon, aims to go from an idea to a functional product in 36 hours. And AFTER 2049, the official closing party, will be held on October 9 at the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, 200 meters above the bay. For many, it is these extras, as much as the conferences, that justify the trip.
