A recent study reveals that all of the leaders of small and medium -sized enterprises now know cryptos, and more than a third party invest in it personally, despite a still limited professional adoption.

French business leaders rush on cryptos
TPE-PME patterns are now fully aware of the existence of cryptos. According to a recent BFM Business and Vistaprint barometer published on February 23, 100% of the entrepreneurs interviewed know cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum or Solana.
Even more revealing, 39% of them have already invested in these digital assets, 25% of which are currently maintaining their positions. This trend marks a significant increase compared to the beginning of 2023, where only 26% of the leaders had taken the plunge.
THE results financiers of these investments prove mainly positive, with 50% of entrepreneurs declaring that they had made profits. Only 20% recorded losses, while 27% reached a balance.
Curiosity and thirst for learning constitute the main investment motivations, cited by 55% of respondents, closely followed by expected financial yields (52%). Membership of the technological potential of cryptos and the desire to diversify its portfolio arrive ex-aequo in third position (41%).
Demographic disparities remain marked: 40% of leaders aged 18 to 24 actively invest in cryptos, compared to only 6% of 65 and over. The gap between genres is also pronounced, with 36% of investor men against 13% of women.
Still timid professional use despite recognized advantages
Despite this craze for personal investment, only 12% of entrepreneurs have already used cryptocurrencies for professional transactions, and 3% would not renew the experience.
Among the 88% having never crossed this CAP, 41% consider this possibility while 47% categorically exclude it. Paradoxically, 52% of managers consider probable or very likely that many companies accept these payments within five years.
Entrepreneurs who have integrated cryptoactives into their professional activity highlight three major advantages: the speed of transactions (53%), safety (49%) and the simplification of international operations (43%).
These advantages contrast with the obstacles perceived: lack of practical knowledge (55%), price volatility (53%), persistent distrust (49%) and insufficient regulatory framework (38%).
The professional use of cryptos also reveals a pronounced generational cleavage: 28% of managers aged 18 to 24 have already carried out professional transactions in cryptocurrencies, compared to only 2% of 55-64s. Women leaders are much more reluctant, 59% completely excluding this possibility against 35% of men.
Cryptos are gradually imposed in the French entrepreneurial ecosystem. This revolution accelerates, as Illustrious Tisséo who, as of today, allows Toulousains to pay their transport in crypto, testifying to an increasing adoption by public and commercial services.
