The Crypties: The First Blockchain Awards Ceremony

What if Web3 had its own version of the Oscars? Well, nothing is impossible, since The Crypties, the first award ceremony dedicated to Web3, is coming soon. The ecosystem is growing at lightning speed and gaining momentum. In view of all the enthusiasm it arouses, it is natural to pay tribute to the most brilliant innovators of Web3!

Finally a ceremony reserved exclusively for Web3!

Cryptocurrencies and the blockchain are taking on unexpected proportions and are becoming a flourishing sector in the same way as cinema. To this end, rewarding players in the field takes on its full meaning. If music and cinema have their own award ceremony, the blockchain is also taking a new step with The Crypties.

The event is the creation of Decrypt Media’s Web3 production studio arm, Decrypt Studios. Indeed, the Crypties will honor the brightest performers in the industry at the inaugural Crypties Awards gala.

According to statements by Alana Roazzi-Laforet, founder of Decrypt Studios, the cryptocurrency industry is rapidly growing and maturing to encompass communities and culture across the globe. Therefore, the time has come to recognize the efforts of these people who have worked for more than a decade to move this space forward.

How it works ?

Given the scale and content of the event, Decrypt Studios will announce the nominees, categories, and details on the voting process in the coming weeks. However, we already know that the nominees are chosen by an expert council made up of Web3 executives, prominent creators with some experience in the industry, and big stars in the field.

However, according to the ethics of the ecosystem, decentralization is in order. As a result, The Crypties votes will be controlled by a token. Thus, only holders of the NFT Decrypt Culture Club will have access to the votes. To carry out this first international awards initiative, the creators have put together a concrete board of directors. Among others, Ryan Wyatt of Polygon Studios, Amy Wu of FTX Ventures and John Wu of Ava Labs.

Many other personalities join those mentioned above to select the nominees for the first-ever blockchain awards show. So, if you want to participate, the inaugural gala will be held on November 30 at Art Basel in Miami Beach.
