Not long ago, the crypto firm Ripple released part of its reserves in XRP, raising questions about potential impacts on the XRP market. New transactions of the same type carried out by Ripple and involving anonymous wallets have attracted the attention of the crypto community.
Ripple involved in massive transfer of millions of XRP cryptos
Information leaked by crypto wallet tracker Whale Alert shows Ripple’s links to large moves involving XRP holdings. Over the past 24 hours, four notable XRP transactions were made.
All of these assets are valued at nearly half a billion. Whale Alert cites two operations in particular. The largest of the four, which concerns 300 million XRP worth around $185 million.
The tracker also cites a second one. In particular, the least important which consisted of the movement of 139,374,499 XRP. A total of cryptos worth just over $86 million.
Meanwhile, Whale Alert revealed two other transactions initiated by Ripple. First a transfer of 70,000,000 XRP valued at $43,171,395. Next, a second trade involving 27,800,000 XRP worth $17,198,375. It appeared that, essentially, these operations are linked to unidentified crypto wallets. Some having connections with the Binance and Bitstamp exchanges.
The perplexity of the crypto community
Likely, this series of operations involving Ripple and unidentified crypto wallets is legitimate. A legitimacy which still leaves one perplexed as to the multiplication of such operations.
A few days ago, Ripple had already raised many questions with the marketing of part of its XRP reserve. Put into perspective with recent operations, we understand why there is speculation within the crypto community.
The latter is in full turmoil wondering about the origin of these massive transactions. These subsequently raise concerns about potential impacts on the valuation of XRP.
Regardless, Ripple’s native crypto is currently worth $0.63. Its price has seen an increase of 2.91% in the last 24 hours, for a weekly increase of 2.10%. Ripple’s XRP is thus showing a certain dynamism.
