Not everything on the blockchain is authentic. NFTs are no exception to this rule. So how can you be sure that the NFT you want to acquire is really what it claims to be? The answer is simple: check “its authorship”. YES ! It’s entirely possible, but difficult. Indeed, such an approach requires a lot of research. To make it easier for you, Arianee has created a verification function to certify the brand issuing an NFT. Focus on Arianee’s project.
Registration of brand identity
In the world of blockchain and NFTs, the term “brand” refers to the issuer of the NFT. To issue verified and authentic NFTs, the brand must meet two fundamental conditions:
- his identity must be verified;
- the brand must be authentic.
Identity verification
To verify its identity, a brand will necessarily go through the “Know Your Business” or KYB process. The objective of this approach is to establish the structure, ownership, objective and activities of the brand.
The KYB process encompasses three steps:
- administrative verification,
- verification of staking (approval of the brand’s main blockchain address by the team),
- brand identity verification
Brand authentication
When a brand issues an NFT, it necessarily uses an identifier. This identifier must be the same as the one verified.
The Arianee certification protocol
The protocol ofArianee was designed to ensure a very specific mission: guaranteeing the authenticity of an NFT. To do this, the Arianee team ensures that all brands registered in its project meet the necessary conditions. They will also be validated by the team.
Would you like to know better the commitments of the Arianee team? Do you want to know the processes put in place to guarantee the authenticity of your NFTs? Here is a video interview with Alexandre Cognard, co-founder and CTO of the project.
To verify the authorship of an NFT, Arianee uses an option called “Verified Issuer”. “Verified issuer” in French, this is a certification function offered by the Arianee protocol. It guarantees the authenticity of the NFT thanks to the registration of the brand identity in the Arianee protocol.
Important: Each brand registered in the Arianee protocol undergoes a KYB process. She must provide the public address of her wallet to the Arianee team for verification. Only after this verification does the brand publish its brand identity.
But how exactly does this verification by the Arianee team work?
The Arianee team does not just check the administrative information provided by the brand. It also validates brand identities through multisig. This feature requires multiple parties (instead of just one) to sign a transaction to increase security.
That’s not all ! The team also uses the blockchain’s hash function to be sure that a brand is truly what it claims to be. This means that she will never be able to pass herself off as someone else.
NFTs minted by brands verified with the Arianee protocol all display a blue verified badge. This blue badge attests not only to the origin, but also to the authenticity of the NFT.
Authorship verification with the Arianee protocol allows users to confidently identify authentic NFTs. This considerably reduces the risks of counterfeiting and damage to brand reputation.
Arianee Protocol: for whom?
THE Arianee protocol is particularly useful for anyone wishing to register their NFT brand. The goal: to ensure its legitimacy.
It will also be of great help to those who want to verify the authenticity of an NFT before purchasing it. Eh yes ! Verification remains the safest and easiest way to know if an NFT actually comes from the given artist or collection.
