21 major brands have invested in NFTs
Between 2021 and 2022, NFTs have experienced a meteoric rise. Currently, the majority of the world’s leading brands have invested in this revolutionary technology.
According to the CoinGecko study, 21 of the 50 biggest luxury and sportswear brands have embraced NFTs. In total, 42% of leading fashion brands hold them. On the other hand, most do not yet consider these assets central to their strategies.
Adidas dominates the world of Fashion NFTs
The first Adidas NFT collection, “Into the Metaverse” was launched at the end of 2021. Since then, the German brand has created 12 collections.
The diversity of Adidas’ collections is impressive, ranging from collaborations with prestigious brands such as Bape and Bugatti, to internal initiatives like the web3 artist residency program. The latest sensation, “Virtual Gear 2022,” allows users to customize their avatars with digital collectibles, adding a layer of virtual individuality to fashion.
Nike embraces the NFT revolution with RTFKT
The American sportswear icon embraced the virtual revolution by acquiring the avant-garde studio RTFKT, known for its revolutionary designs and Clone X NFTs. This strategic acquisition in 2021 paved the way for a series of innovative collections.
Under the banner of .SWOOSH, Nike unveiled two NFT sneaker collections and a virtual identity collection.
Puma occupies third place on the podium
THE 6 Puma collections reflect a bold and innovative approach. We particularly cite the NFT Gutter Cat Gang project (in collaboration with basketball player LaMelo Ball) which stands out for its unique character.
