Sergiu Biris, Product Manager at MultiversX, presented the new features of xPortal during xDay, MultiversX’s flagship conference held at the Palace of the Parliament of Romania.
Mr. Biris presented the tools that will now enable intuitive financial management covering both crypto and fiat currency. Debit cards and an impressive native in-app cryptocurrency purchasing solution, with full cryptocurrency on/off capabilities, as well as a cross-chain solution for crypto token trading, make part of the most interesting new features of the application. Peer-to-peer fiat payments and European IBANs, SEPA and SWIFT will be available to xPortal users in early 2024.
Users will explore a new form of interaction with xGenie, an AI-powered personal assistant, which will inform and guide users to ensure a seamless xPortal experience.
The features launched today, especially debit cards, have been a long time in the making. Today’s launch takes xPortal from a crypto wallet to a financial “super app”. We have thus created a bridge to an interconnected future where the lines between crypto, fiat, and emerging technologies like AI dissolve, bringing an unparalleled user experience.

Other exciting new developments include the launch of the xWorlds SDK, a set of unique tools and SDKs that digital world creators can use to build the next generation of augmented reality experiences leveraging xPortal as a as wallet and distribution center. The kit includes highly realistic AI-powered 3D avatars, or digital twins, that can be generated from just a few selfies. These avatars are customizable and can teleport into virtual worlds.

A new augmented reality “treasure hunt” invites users to immediately search for 9 digital artifacts placed around Bucharest, with up to 400 EGLD up for grabs for whoever collects them all.
To conclude, Mr. Biris unveiled xPortal’s new website and branding, which reflects the essence of their new philosophy: “Money Meets Freedom” (money meets freedom).
