On September 24, 2026, Greece registered four crypto providers in the ESMA MiCA register. Binance, which withdrew its Greek application on June 24, is not one of them. Only six days separate this withdrawal from the first Greek approval, while the European register displays the four entries several weeks after their issue.

Important clarification: there MiCA crypto standard entrusts approval to the national authorities designated by each Member State. Article 93 of the Regulation specifies the role of national competent authorities and the ECB is not one of them.
Why does the MiCA register display approvals several weeks after their issue?
The dates presented in the MiCA crypto registry show a significant gap between approvals and their appearance in the ESMA register. BCash was authorized on June 30, but appears in the September 24 update. This is equivalent to 86 days later. For Xenios Blockchain Group and Capital Wallet Greece, the deadline is 64 days. It reaches 48 days for Piraeus Bank.
The ESMA register therefore reflects the date of publication of its update, and not necessarily the date on which each approval was granted. These calculations constitute Tremplin.io’s own contribution based on the dates available.
What does the arrival of Greek MiCA players change for crypto investors?
In France, the issue remains linked to:
- the regulatory situation of thecrypto exchange Binance ;
- its possible framework under MiCA.
Currently, the Binance French accounts indeed operate in degraded mode. Withdrawals are maintained, while spot crypto trading is stopped. According to Tremplin.io, open margin positions and loans are to be liquidated automatically on October 1.
Regarding providers authorized under MiCA, they can provide their crypto services across the European Union thanks to the European passport (subject to applicable conditions).
The next update of the ESMA register will therefore make it possible to see whether Greece expands this first list. For the Binance crypto platform, the French situation remains a point to follow.
