Since its launch, Mastodon has panicked the counters. The platform has a structure similar to that of Twitter, but with a user-centric and decentralized approach.

Decryption: Unlike Twitter (controlled by a single entity), Mastodon operates through a network of thousands of scattered computer servers. This network is mainly run by volunteers. That’s not all ! Mastodon does not use algorithms to customize the content feed.

On a post dating back to July 2, Rochko didn’t just share the good news with his community. He also expressed his gratitude to the Mastodon team for their invaluable help in strengthening the platform’s infrastructure. Currently, Mastodon has 324,000 active users.

Twitter’s New Restrictions and Platform Issues

Elon Musk, owner and former CEO of Twitter, has announced new limits on the number of visible publications for users:

• Verified accounts will see up to 10,000 posts per day.
• New unverified accounts will be limited to 500.

Musk also mentioned data security issues on the platform. According to him, “significant data looting” disrupted services. Naturally, this statement raises questions about Twitter’s ability to protect user data.

In addition to these security issues, recent data reveals the presence ofan alarming number of fake accounts within many Twitter communities. This situation affects user trust and the overall experience on the platform.
