But there is worse according to Hinton. The pursuit of which AI is the object specifically in the armaments sector. The use of AI would thus make it possible to develop new generation weapons that are much more lethal.

Perhaps it is too late to try to rectify the situation? The answer is unclear. What is, however, are the concerns about AI. And tech executives know it.
Last March, more than 2,600 industry executives and researchers, including Elon Musk, signed a petition. The objective of the latter: to bring about a temporary halt in the development of AI due to its “profound risks for society and humanity”.
