During a podcast with Dan Roberts and Andrew Hayward, Ryan Wyatt was optimistic about the future of Web3. The president of Polygon Labs expects mass adoption of Web3 games within a few years. He clarified that it is only a matter of time before the adoption of Web3 is effective. “Gamers are the most tech-savvy group and will therefore be early adopters“, he added.
The former head of YouTube Gaming presented a way to drive adoption of Web3 technology with gamers. He indeed said:You just gotta give them a reason to play a game“. To do this, he recommends the creating more robust Web3 games, capable of justifying players’ attention and investment.
It must be said that currently, players criticize video games in the sector for having superficial gameplay. They also lament crypto industry scams and price volatility.
