FTX: Does SBF know who is behind the exchange hack?

A few weeks ago, the Binance-FTX affair saw the light of day and with it the fall of one of the best cryptocurrency exchange platforms. Today in bankruptcy, Sam Bankman-Fried, the co-founder of FTX does not seem to have said his last word. Although the situation is complex, he is determined to clean the air again. In this attempt, SBF may have finally discovered who is behind the hack of its exchange.

FTX, the hacker could be a former employee

Since the collapse of the second largest crypto exchange in the world, many questions have arisen. Among other things, who’s behind the $650 million hack the night of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Now it looks like Sam Bankman-Fried has some answers.

In interview with Tiffany Fong released on Tuesday, the FTX founder said he has identified who is behind the shady act. According to him, the list is reduced to eight people. However, he cannot say exactly which one it was. So he thinks it’s probably a former employee.

However, it could also be someone who installed pirate software on an FTX intern’s computer. But either way, the leak is coming from within. Regarding the difficult situation that the cryptocurrency exchange is going through, SBF admits that it prioritizes Bahamian withdrawals.

Recall that on November 9, FTX the crypto company froze fund withdrawals for all its users. But the next day, FTX announced that the Bahamas SEC had given it permission to allow withdrawals for its citizens. Although regulators have denied this claim, it hasn’t stopped SBF.

In reality, the latter simply attaches more importance to Bahamian withdrawals, because that is where he lives. According to his statements, one cannot live in a country with so many angry people.

For Sam Bankman-Fried, this initiative aims to give FTX a future. Although the withdrawals are not intended for insiders, the former CEO is certain that the path he is taking is the right one. To stay afloat, the only solution for FTX was to appease Bahamian investors.
