Exchange Crypto Binance is launching an unprecedented service

The era of Crypto interactions takes a new CAP with Reachme.io, the paid messaging launched by Binance and backed by BNB. This service allows users to exchange directly with opinion leaders, for a crypto transaction. In 48 hours, the platform attracted 3,262 users, and generated $ 24,000. An initiative that strengthens the usefulness of the BNB, and challenges the accessibility and monetization of exchanges in the web 3 ecosystem.

A paid messaging platform backed by BNB

“All costs received will either be given to charities, or reinvested in the BNB Smart Chain ecosystem”. It is with these words that Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of Binance, a justified This March 28, 2025 on the X platform (ex Twitter) The launch of Reachme.io.

Indeed, the concept is simple: each message sent via the platform is billed 1 BNB, after being initially tested at 0.1 BNB.

The first results are already visible:

  • 3,262 users registered on the platform in two days;
  • 1,358 opinion leaders joined the conversation there;
  • $ 24,000 was generated thanks to the transactions carried out;
  • This messaging is based on an evolutionary pricing model, initially at 0.1 BNB, then set at 1 BNB per message.

Binance's objective with this initiative is twofold: to offer direct access to Crypto personalities in order to reduce spam and non -relevant requests. This approach could increase demand for BNB, which would consolidate its role in the ecosystem.

However, the implementation of such a pricing filter causes debate on the accessibility of exchanges and the monetization of interactions in the web3.

Monetization of access: an inspired, but controversial model

CZ's initiative is reminiscent of the famous “Buffett Lunch”, where auctions allow investors to have lunch with the billionaire Warren Buffett.

This comparison is not trivial. By applying a fare barrier to messaging, Binance establishes an exclusivity model, where only those ready to pay can exchange with influencers or experts. This economic filter may seem relevant to avoid spam, but it also poses a problem of inequality of access to information.

The reactions were not long in coming. Some members of the community denounce excessive monetization, which is likely to keep classic users away.

From a purely financial point of view, the effect on the BNB market is already visible. In 24 hours, its price dropped by 3.39 %, and established $ 607.77. This drop, coupled with a fall of 41.28 % of the exchange volume, shows that the reception of this novelty is far from unanimous.

The future of Reachme.io will depend on the way in which Binance will adjust its economic model in the face of community reactions. If the platform succeeds in balance accessibility and exclusivity, it could impose itself as a major tool in the crypto ecosystem, which would strengthen the place of BNB in digital exchanges.

Conversely, if criticisms on the monetization of interactions persist, this tool could come up against a limited adoption, even to a rejection by users.

While Binance continues to innovate, this initiative raises a fundamental question: should the crypto serve as an exchange facilitator, or become an economic filter which limits access to information and influencers? A question which, as paid platforms emerge, risks becoming central in the evolution of the web3.
