The Paris prosecutor's office launched, this Friday, February 7, an investigation into the social network X after the report of deputy Eric Bothorel on Friday, February 7. This investigation, which follows a seizure of January 12, relates to suspicions of handling the automated data processing system (Stad) of the platform.
The case is part of a broader context in social network surveillance. At the end of January, Arcom (French digital regulator) has alert The European Commission following complaints from MEP Aurore Lalucq and Senator Marie-Claire Carrère-Gége, who denounce an excessive visibility of Elon Musk's content on the platform.
X's problems in France do not stop there. Since its acquisition by Musk, the platform has faced many criticisms. Issues that go beyond French borders

Indeed, Washington recently announced customs rights increases aimed at Canada, Mexico and China, with a risk of extension to Europe.
This situation echoes the recent statements by Donald Trump to Davos, where he accused the European Union of treating American businesses in a very, very unfair manner.
