DOGAMÍ completes a financing round to develop the first consumer Web3 game

DOGAMÍ, the first Web3 NFT virtual dog game, completed its €14 million seed round by raising another €7 million with XAnge as the lead fund. DOGAMÍ has launched a mobile application to adopt and breed NFT virtual dogs, being rewarded with a cryptocurrency, DOGA. This new fundraising will allow the Web3 game to develop its range of Web3 games and applications for the general public.

A community of over 200,000 Dogamers

This new fundraising, led by XAnge, Bpifrance and renowned investors such as the
family office Wagram Capital, brings the total amount raised by the startup to 14 million euros.
In January 2022, DOGAMÍ had already raised 7 million euros from Ubisoft, Animoca Brands, the
co-founders of The Sandbox, and many other major players in the Web3 and gaming industry
video.

In less than a year, DOGAMÍ has created one of the most committed Web3 communities with more than 200,000 “dog lovers” members. The startup has also sold over 12,000 virtual companion NFTs
and 12,000 NFT of canine accessories in partnership with the international brand GAP. Finally, the team
of DOGAMÍ, made up of 40 employees, recently launched its 1ʳᵉ mobile application “DOGA House”.

The DOGA House is a mobile application running on Android and iOS, exclusively reserved
to owners of an NFT Dogamí. Nicknamed the “Dogamers”, half of them have a
real dog, are on average 30 years old, and come from all over the world (more than 80 countries
represented).

Thanks to this application, Dogamers can discover their NFT puppies, see them “come to life” under
their eyes, and interact with them whenever they want. The first actions of the game allow them to
play with their dogs, feed them, pet them, or even walk around in the setting of the universe
by DOGAMI.

By taking care of their NFT dog, players are rewarded each week by receiving a
cryptocurrency called the DOGA. The DOGA is the “currency” internal to the DOGAMÍ universe, it allows
to buy or resell his NFT dogs and accessories, and soon to buy clothes and
real accessories, to participate in events or to have their NFT dogs mate.

The mating functionality, called “Breeding”, will be launched in 2023 and will give the possibility
a male NFT dog and a female NFT dog to generate a new NFT pup.

There are currently 12,000 NFT virtual dogs, all different and more or less rare. For the
15 breeds of dogs are available, the most popular of which are the Shiba Inu, the Corgi or
the Australian Shepherd again. New races will be available next year and in total more
100,000 different NFT dogs will be able to play by the end of 2023.

Web3 within reach of the general public

The beginnings of DOGA House are very promising: two weeks after its launch, 70% of
Dogamers with access to the app log in every day.

Many changes will be introduced in the coming months:

  • Customization of dogs with branded accessories (GAP and other planned partnerships);
  • The development of the game environment;
  • New animations and interactions;
  • Augmented reality ;
  • Mini-games and competitions between Dogamers.

Finally, the team is preparing the launch of an ambitious new video game which should see the light of day in 2023 and
will allow Dogamers to experience new entertaining adventures with their companion
virtual.
